How much does it cost to fix a broken garage door spring?
Most torsion spring replacements in our area run $275 to $450 for a matched pair, installed and balanced. You’ll get an exact price on site before work begins.
Garage Door Repair
Can you fix any brand of garage door?
Yes. We work on all major residential and commercial brands, including Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, CHI, Raynor, and LiftMaster, Genie, and Chamberlain openers.
Is it worth repairing or should I replace the door?
Most problems are repairable for a fraction of a new door. If a repair would cost more than about a third of a new door, or the door has multiple damaged sections, we’ll show you both options side by side.
Broken Spring Repair
How do I know my spring is broken?
A loud bang from the garage, a visible gap in the spring above the door, or a door that feels extremely heavy or won’t lift with the opener are the classic signs.
Can I replace a torsion spring myself?
We strongly advise against it. Torsion springs store enough energy to cause serious injury, and the job needs winding bars and exact sizing.
Should I replace both springs?
Yes. If one has reached the end of its cycle life, the other is close behind, and a matched pair keeps the door balanced.
Garage Door Openers
What opener do you recommend?
For most attached garages, a LiftMaster belt-drive with Wi-Fi and battery backup. For high ceilings or high-lift tracks, a wall-mount unit with an automatic deadbolt.
Can you connect my door to my phone?
Yes. Most newer openers support myQ. We set it up and test it before we leave.

How long does a new door take?
Ordering usually takes one to four weeks depending on style. Installation is usually completed in a single day.

Do you charge more after hours?
After-hours visits carry an emergency dispatch fee, which we tell you on the phone before we come out. Armored Care Club members pay no after-hours fee.

Once a year for most homes. Twice a year if the door cycles more than five times a day or faces salt air.
